Donna L. Fraley, 94, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.
Donna was born on September 15, 1929 in Fostoria to the late Harold and Jessie (Martin) Brombley. She married James Reed Fraley in Boston, MA on October 15, 1949 and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2007.
Survivors include his children, Phyllis (Daniel) Kinn, James Fraley Jr., Tom Fraley, Steve (Lana) Fraley, Debra (Dan) Rinaman all of Tiffin, Patricia (Dan “Bubba”) Matthews of Pampa, TX, ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Helen Gierke of Findlay.
Donna worked as a bartender at the Alpine and McGowan’s Tavern where she later retired from. Donna was a member of First Christian Church in Tiffin. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and a life member of the DAV Auxiliary. Donna was a 1947 graduate of Fostoria High School. She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren and especially with Noel whom she said brought joy back to Christmas and her life.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Terry Fraley, a granddaughter, Tonya Alleshire, two sisters, Marilyn Saxton and Laura Yoder.
A special thank you to the nurses and aids at Autumnwood Care Center and to Southern Ohio Hospice Care team that cared for our mother. Your love and compassion for her was greatly appreciated. Also to Noel for all the times she feed Gg when no one else could get her to eat and to Rev. Doug DeVos also for all his help and prayers.
A memorial service for Donna will be held at 6:30p.m., Thursday, April 18, 2024 at First Christian Church with Rev. Doug DeVos officiating. Burial will be held at Fairmont cemetery at a later date. Her body has been donated to science for research as per her request.
Memorial contributions may be made to Autumnwood Care Center, for the memory care unit, Southern Hospice Care or to First Christian Church.
